Who we are

Nextium is an e-Business consulting and technology consulting firm that specializes in creating customized web-based solutions for small and medium sized companies as well as government and not-for-profit organizations. Our experienced professionals are versed in all the latest technologies and techniques. Our consultants hail from both private and public sector industries. We understand government or not-for-profit enterprise best practices just as much as we do for-profit companies. Either way, our suite of services is geared towards a primary purpose – enabling enterprise efficiency.

Rudy Duke, Chief Architect

Photo of Rudy Duke, CEORudy Duke launched Nextium Solutions in 2001 to enable efficiency for small and medium sized enterprises as well as public and not-for-profit organizations. With more than 20 years in the management and technology consulting industry, Duke has worked closely with IT executives to facilitate business solutions by leveraging e-Business strategy, business process innovation and technology solutions.

Prior to Nextium, Duke held a position as Vice President at Align360. In this position, Duke was responsible for client engagements related to Business Process Reengineering and Customer Relationship Management.

Prior to Align360, Duke served as Practice Director of Employee Self Service at The Cedar Group, formerly known as The Hunter Group. In this position, he utilized his unique blend of business strategy and technology solutions to work with Human Resource Technology vendors including PeopleSoft, SAP, Authoria, Workscape, and others to leverage e-Business strategies and web technologies. Duke has been associated with many Employee Self Service Portal innovations and best practices over the past 12 years and his consulting work with a diverse range of clients has been highlighted through countless speaking engagements and published articles.

Prior to his time at the Cedar Group, Duke held management consulting positions at CSC Consulting and technology positions with General Motors/EDS. Duke is the volunteer CIO of the BDPA Education Technology Foundation (BETF) and holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from Howard University.
